Using Vibration Plates if You Have Blood Clots, Venous Insufficiency or Varicose Veins - What You Need to Know First!
Exercising caution in HOW you use your vibration plate is critical if you are dealing with clots or conditions with compromised circulation. ANY new activity, even an increase in your to your current activity levels should first be discussed with your care provider.

I’m a little overdue on this article… life sometimes gets in the way as you well know. Thanks so much for your understanding, for subscribing and your ongoing feedback.
Moving and being active is generally a good thing. How much, how often and how vigorous is very much an individual thing. Medical concerns may limit what you are able to do and you may have certain restrictions outlined by your care provider.
I know many companies market exercise and wellness equipment in a way that often leads you to believe you just set it and let it run its time and miracles will happen. In my experience, you are setting yourself up for an unpleasant experience and possibly putting yourself at risk especially if dealing with clots or severe/advanced vein issues.
If you have known blood clots, or are at risk of developing them - I must advise they are a contraindication for using a vibration plate due to how incredibly effective they are at boosting circulation and moving lymphatic fluid. Please discuss first with your care provider and follow my experienced guidance if you are cleared for use.
Clots are one of the few contra’s I am strict with. Often new users in general over do it when starting out, going too long or use too much intensity (wide feet.hands).
Varicose veins and venous insufficiency although related, are not the same. Varicose veins are a visible sign/symptom of poor circulation, whereas venous insufficiency is the bigger issue thats causing symptoms like swelling and a “heaviness” in the legs.
Venous insufficiency and varicose veins ARE NOT contraindicated HOWEVER please be extra conservative on time and intensity (wide feet) starting out.
Today I want to introduce the term dosage and how it relates to a vibration plate. Think of dosage as the “how long, what positions, what settings and how often” questions many are seeking clarity on. Using a vibration plate is not the same as prescribing medication.
How your body and its systems improve from using a plate takes time - your body’s systems need to adapt, change and improve. I ask you to be consistent, realistic and patient.
When you use a vibration plate, there are immediate, forever occurring benefits. The tiny, low-impact micro-movements instantly “turbo boost” circulation and lymphatic flow bringing pain relief, reduced swelling, improved energy and more.
It feels so great while using a machine it’s easy to go for too long. If just starting, use more often in shorter bursts of 1-3 mins, see how you feel after a week or two and progress from there. See my new video for more insight and tips on use:
Many of you ask me about my stools that I use in videos, best height to get etc. A bar or counter height stool is best compliment for your plate if using seated long term.
Check out my recommended videos for information on specific topics, training and self care tips, along with answers to many common vibration plate questions.
