Prepping the Pathways! Short Prep Routine by Jennifer Stuart CLT
Showing signs of poor lymphatic flow now? If you are not prepping your lymphatics BEFORE increasing flow through activity or therapies your body may not have the capacity to manage the increase especially in areas that may be compromised.
Today’s article is important to everyone using a vibration plate but especially those dealing with sluggish or compromised lymphatics. Things like swelling, pitting, or indents in the skin, tightness or red blotchy skin, a heaviness like limbs weigh more or feel “thick” are all signs your lymphatics are not flowing properly.
Many of you are using vibration plates now KNOW how effective they are at boosting that lymph, how much lighter, softer and BETTER YOU FEEL after use. Many of you also over did it starting out - it just “feels so good” while using it. Some of you and had increases in swelling, pooling in areas and excessive trips to the washroom as a result.
A little prep work to help your system get activated before using your vibration plate can have a huge impact until things start improving and flowing more naturally. Not everyone is aware how to prep and for some like me, its a discipline thing, I know I should but I suck at being consistent in doing what is really a quick, simple thing.
Question is… are you inconsistent like me or are you doing something regularly to help prepare your body for this surge in flow? Maybe today is the first time you’ve even heard about prepping the pathways? This leads nicely into my poll this week;
Do you do any type of prep work to activate lymphatics before using your vibration plate or other activity/therapy? |
If you’re like me, and need guidance on a short routine, see this short tutorial from Jennifer Stuart CLT of Elite Therapeutic Massage Center in Fort Smith Arkansas, who was kind enough to share her wisdom as a professional that working directly with lymphatics ass a therapist, but also brings invaluable experience as someone who deals with lipedema herself.

Improved lymphatic drainage is one of the top reasons people use and continue to use their vibration plate. It’s one of the easiest way to boost total body lymph and to those not using your plate now, I ask you to “step up to the plate”, or sit with feet on it if need. You spent time and money on that thing let it do some of the self care for you. See my crash course (6 min) How to Get Started video on YouTube.

TRAINING TIPS
Poor Mobility/Fatigue/Pain? - START SEATED! Adding a bar/counter height stool will get your legs at a proper 90° angle. I recommend using one if you are dealing with poor mobility, are weak, lack stability or fatigue easily. A stool is a great way to use for relaxation or where you are recovering and need to limit standing/weight bearing poses.
I will continue to nag you to KEEP MOVING, even if only a little, we’re only 2 weeks onto the New Year, be realistic in where you are physically starting and do what you can.
Those of you with better conditioning, be sure you are challenging yourself if looking for those big results, focus on good technique & appropriate positions for your goals.
