See this week's 3 "common vibration plate questions" and details on how to register for my REVIBAL 2025 Self Care Workshop this Saturday! I'll be giving away 4 weekly coaching sessions with ME!

If you are a new subscriber or new to using a vibration plate, you may want to check out last weeks article before getting into my ramble this week. I’ve summarized below.
Last week’s full article - April is "Common Vibration Plate Questions" Month - Here's Week 1, if you missed my first 3 common questions here’s a short recap;
If you’ve followed my starting guidelines or are using a plate now, you may know from experience how to modify positions, settings or time for your symptoms or where you may be at physically. Over time you gain comfort in experimenting, changing things up as needed and listening to the feedback your body is giving you.
Let’s get right into THIS week’s 3 Common Vibration Plate Questions. Each have turned into some lengthy debates in group discussions. Know there is never a black and white answer it again boils down to individual preference, needs and current experience.

1) What’s the best TYPE of Vibration Plate? The word “best” means something different to everyone, there are a LOT of models with endless features, programs, limited time deals and some damn good sales pitches. The pressure to decide can all be very overwhelming when trying to compare what is “best” for your needs.
I meet most of you AFTER you have made a decision. Human nature I guess but most do not go looking for the “how to use” a machine info until after its already been delivered.
There are 2 main vibration plate movement types, the first oscillating and later came vertical, both with lots of research behind them to support their claimed benefits and safety. They both have COMPLETELY DIFFERENT performance specifications and cannot be compared side by side without a healthy amount of technical knowledge.
Sadly the mentality in the sales world is one movement type vs the other. One is better because of …. no we are better because… and you are left in the middle trying to translate fear from fact. If a supplier is bashing vs educating, they are not being truthful, why?
Let me simplify this debate - BOTH have pros and cons. Watch Vibration Plate Movement Types - the Differences and for insight and tips on both styles.
2) Are Vibration Plates Good for Lymphatic Drainage? WHEN YOU MOVE LYMPH MOVES and a vibration plate may be the easiest way to get lymph and circulation flowing with little to no effort. If dealing with a sluggish or compromised lymphatic system, short “spot treatments” are the best approach for reducing associated symptoms.
Short sessions boost energy, stability even your mood! Some quick prep work on the pathways goes a long way in helping your body better move fluid and keep it moving! See my video Easy Ways to Move Lymph on Your Vibration Plate for some position ideas with variations if dealing with limited mobility or other concerns.
Separate but related common question with lymphatic issues are compression garments if you do wear. To Wear or Not to Wear Compression Garments that is the question… If you wear compression garments now for activity you should begin with them on your plate but as you progress this may change. Often garments can be such a hassle to get on and off you just have to use as you are at the time… see my related tips video.
3) Are Vibration Plates Safe with Back Issues? Yes - in fact many use specifically for their back issues! They’re ideal as a low impact activity and are equally effective as a therapy to relieve painful symptoms while improving core strength and stability.
From mild back issues right up to severe medical concerns like scoliosis, degenerative discs whatever the issue, you’ve often been given some home exercises/stretches you are to be doing regularly. A plate is a tool you can “do” these positions.stretches on to increase effectiveness and reduce time doing them.
Learn some basics and get some relief first then you can explore more specific poses. See my video Using your Vibration Plate with Back and Spine Issues for some common sense points when dealing with back, neck or spine issues.
