Can a Vibration Plate Help with Constipation and Incontinence?

Those of you using a plate now are likely well aware of just how effective they can be at keeping you "regular", and if constipation or incontinence are a concern for you - keep reading.

Back in our studio days, we learned so many things through our own personal experience and with our local members - LONG before any science was being discussed. It wasn’t uncommon a new user would share how pleasantly surprised they were to experience relief from constipation. It one of the reasons people came to our studio.

I remember an elderly farmer named Alvin who had terrible MS came in and asked it he could use my plates to massage is prostate, it was very enlarged and he was plagued with UTI and other related issues all the time. I asked if he had spoken to his doctor about getting him to massage/drain it (this is what they used to do), Alvin just snapped back and said “the new doc won’t do that for me, he told me to come see you". He continued and said “if you won’t let me sit on it I’ll just go sit on my Honda bike at home and rev it up like I always do…”

I was already curious about this so was more than happy to have a volunteer referred from the new MD in town…. I knew it was a joke but we’d show them. Alvin already understood that vibration was helping (the resonance from the revving bike), he wasn’t afraid so over the next couple weeks we tried different settings, sat him on a rolled towels, pool noodles, different things to try and target the area more specifically. We settled on a foam bike handle grip which he sat on for 1-2 mins 2- 3 times a week.

In the beginning he was running to the washroom within a few minutes, Over time he became more regular, more in control. Alvin’s prostate reduced in size and related issues like UTIs didn’t occur when he stuck with his plate time.

The fearful female onlookers in my studio began to follow Alvin’s example and discovered the incontinence improved as did the orgasms. Yes I said it and it’s now in writing forever. Best testimonial I ever got was from an 80+ couple about how their sex life “came back to life” after joining our studio. Probably a whole article in itself for another day right here…

It’s almost logical to expect constipation, incontinence even prostate issues to improve because the machine is so effective at boosting lymph and blood flow, at relaxing tension, improving posture, etc.

If you suffer from constipation, a vibration plate may be the most natural and effective way to help resolve this. I’m so confident in the machines capabilities I have challenged many specialist and therapists to simply try it - prove me wrong - in 20 years no one ever has. I have taken a lot of grief for “sitting” people directly on a plate, false fears of harm… ridiculous. Use it regularly, do your kegels and you too will understand,

Incontinence is a bit of a longer-term benefit, but unlike constipation many suffering with incontinence have a fear of using the machine in that it may - shake things out - causing leakage or make the problem worse. As we move lymph moves so if you’re dealing with incontinence like any condition it’s more about modifying how you use the plate to accommodate for this. Reduce intensity and durations until your body’s ability to handle the increase in fluid movement can be supported and the muscles have had time to strengthen and lessen the problem overall. Again I stress do those kegels and if adding them regularly to poses while on your machine you can join those already better for it. 

New Year… New Group Class Times…

I have just set my Group Class Times for the month. All times below are EST. This months sessions will be “open” with no set topic to allow for all level of users to participate and serve more as a month to get motivated an back on track. If you have been consistent in your use don’t worry, I always walk thru a range of progressions.

There is no need or requirement to join a class, it’s just a way for me to offer more personal, real time guidance with you and your machines. I can help more of you collectively while offering much less cost to you than booking a one on one.

Each class runs approx 1 hour starting with a 10-15 min crash course followed by open questions/demos with those attending. Class times are EST (Toronto Canada) Time.

A zoom link to access will be sent to all registered 10 mins prior to each class start time. There will be no recordings available, these are private, interactive discussions.

Cost is $5 USD per session please state the class date/time and preferred email address. You may also send directly via PayPal to [email protected].

Please register no later than 12 hours prior to class start time. This allows me time to send confirmation along with some short points to help get prepared for class.
